Master Nilesh Jalnawala masters the art of Kummooyeh

Master Nilesh Jalnawala, the CEO of JSTARC has been known for innovative martial arts programs & bringing the latest trends in the sport to India. He achieves this with constant research & self- training. In his recent visit to Korea, he successfully completed the level 1 training in Kummooyeh. This was conducted by World Kummooyeh Federation at their Head Quarters in South Korea.
Master Nilesh received his 1st Dan in the martial art after 1 month’s intensive training under Master Hyun Kyoo Jang,Director,Overseas Division of World Kummooyeh Federation. Master Jang is also the Head Master,HQ training centre in Korea. Examination was conducted under the supervision of President of World Kummooyeh Federation, Grand Master Bouksoo Joung. Master Nilesh comments, “My colleagues & I also completed the IBP (Instructor Bridging Program). This is the 1st team from India to complete this course Or to successfully attempt thenBlack belt Dan certification. I am eager to introduce Kummooyeh or Kumdo on my return to India.
Another instructor of JSTARC gives us an insight into Kummooyeh. “This is a martial art composed of many types of training, such as meditation, basic movements, sword patterns, cutting, sparring techniques and Korean traditional archery. It is derived from the ancient art of Korean swordsmanship and also a unique martial art developed from the ancient elite warrior class.”
