World Taekwondo Culture Expo-2014

22 medals won at the recently held Championship

A 17 member team from JSTARC comprising of JSTARC heads, Masters, Athletes students participated in The 8th World Taekwondo Culture Expo 2014 held on S. Korea. The event took place in early July.
11 athletes competed in Poomsae & Kyrougi tournaments & won a tally of 22 medals for India.

The details of the tally are:

Gold – 3

Silver- 7

Bronze – 12

Mr. Veerabhadra Nagarjuna was the star athlete with gold in both competitions in his category.

A student comments, “I was very excited to be a part of team India & go to Korea- the country of Taekwondo’s origin. We all are really proud of our win & hope to put up an even better performance in the future.”

A Master with team India said, “JSTARC is an organisation that gives a chance to the capable young players across India to showcase their taekwondo skills on an international platform. This expo was a great opportunity for them to interact with their peers from other countries.”
