SUCCESS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A RESULT OF PERSEVERANCE & FAITH IN YOUR EFFORTS
Until today, I have had the pleasure of bringing you the latest developments at JSTARC & the achievements of our students. But, this article is to convey one of the major milestones of my life. With great happiness, I wish to inform all that I have received the 7th Regular Dan in Taekwondo from Kukkiwon. It is truly an important event in the life of a taekwondo enthusiast. Now as I look back the years that have gone by in the pursuit of this sport, I see myself growing as a sports person, in my attitude, my knowledge & most importantly my grasp of the sport. I see myself going through various phases, that of a student, a player, an instructor, a coach & an entrepreneur. Each stage was a turning point in my life and my love for Taekwondo deepened.
As a student, I was eager to learn. I thank my coaches & teachers who introduced me to this excellent sport. I found that Taekwondo offered
an excellent blend that conditioned my body & disciplined my mind. In those formative years, Taekwondo gave me a direction that later brought success & a sense of fulfillment to my life. The player phase saw further success & I could meet many more like-minded Taekwondoists with whom I shared the vision of creating a premier Taekwondo & martial arts centre in India.
With JSTARC, I assumed the role of a teacher, a coach & had the opportunity to pass on the knowledge to the next generation of players. My students gave me hope & renewed my faith in the sport. Their achievements brought me greater joy than my own. With JSTARC, I not only created a pool of Taekwondo students here in India but also could meet the giants of Taekwondo in Korea. Their vision & passion inspired me & I did my best to inculcate the same in the small community of friends & students here in India. I promoted Taekwondo by bringing the latest teams, methods & techniques to Indian learners.
Even though I have assumed the role of a teacher & a mentor, the student in me was not yet satisfied. With your support & encouragement, I expanded my martial arts knowledge to include Hapkido & Kummooyeh. Now with this latest achievement of 7th Dan, I am filled with renewed vigor to bring more & more people, especially the gifted youth of India under the banner of Martial Arts. With comprehensive courses in self-defense & Taekwondo I wish to give back some of the knowledge I have so generously received from my teachers & coaches. They have mentored me & the torch needs to be passed on.
India has a vast talent in sports. We must together work in tapping it & giving it a proper platform to prosper. More masters should come together to inspire & train the youth. I am sure there are many who share my thoughts & envision a fit, disciplined & successful India. Therefore, I accept my 7th Dan with the blessing of my family, teachers, masters & all of your love & unwavering support. Let us come
together to create an environment that teaches the true essence of Martial Arts.
